Committed to the Vision

August 1, 2024

This month of July saw Sam Walker, our Africa Region Coordinator, head back to Malawi to see how our partners are getting on since we relocated our regional hub to Kenya at the start of 2024.

"Returning to Malawi has been such a beautiful opportunity. To reconnect with churches, communities and our committed partners, who continue to fix their eyes of the vision of seeing communities brought into the Kingdom through both physical and spiritual transformation.

FESODEV discerned to start new MED schemes in a rural area near lake Malawi. They gathered key leaders and community members from 4 of their church areas and we covered the start of our Links MED programme. The questions and interaction from the attendees demonstrated this will truly be a great start for business empowerment in their areas. Annie Chirwa, one of the directors of FESODEV, explained how even though the group is just beginning and there are no loans set up yet, the training itself will directly impact their businesses, as they saw immediately areas where they could improve their existing small businesses.

In the north of Malawi, I visited Pamoza's new installation of a fruit tree irrigation system that will expand the amount of yield and training they can do on their community farm. It is truly great to see the growth of our Malawian partners, despite the physical distance of our regional office, they stand committed to the vision, to see communities confront poverty and create potential out of what they already have."

Follow more of our visits to Malawi and Zambia on our social media Links Africa pages. These are the partners who will benefit from our current appeal. Thank you!

Moringa – The Gift That Keeps Giving!

April 1, 2026

In Malawi over a decade ago, in a small rural community, Links took a chance on what many thought was just a fad - moringa trees, sensationalised at the time as 'Miracle Trees'.
